Tabo | Assembly Hall

The first two pictures in this gallery show His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama performing the rab-gnas ceremony at the beginning of the millennium celebrations there in 1996. Then follow all 33 clay images beginning with the four-fold Vairocana in the centre. The images along the wall are arranged clockwise from the entrance to the Assembly Hall in the east, the traditional way of ritual circumambulation. Finally it contains some photographs with the images dressed (prior to 1996 when they were redressed).

The arrangement of the mandala within the Assembly Hall is shown in Quarters of the Tabo Vajradhatumandala, and the names of the deities are found in Names of the Tabo Vajradhatumandala Deities.
